I can confirm it. Whenever I use the updater(Win 2000Pro SP4) no problems whatsoever with WinCleaner.

Another follow-up.

Still for Win 2000 Pro SP4: back to square one.

The processor reacted to WinCleaner again.

There seems to be some kind of instability.

Can you provide more details as to what is happening when you say that it is "processor instability". It most likely should not be related to WinCleaner AntiSpyware as we do have many hundreds of thousands of users and they have not reported anything so far.

Any more details that you can provide could help us both solve the problem.

Well, here are some details:

1. WcAntispy.exe (the main process)takes 95% of the processor's activity.

2. It was impossible to shutdown WinCleaner Antispy. I had to kill the process.

3. As soon as there was no WinCleaner the processor came back to normal.

4. That's under Win 2000 Pro SP4

I tried to install it on a computer with XP SP2: same problem.

It could help if other users could say something about activity of their processor in connection with WinCleaner.

1. In the end I decided to reinstall WinCleaner(Win 2000 Pro SP4). It seems that it solved the problem.
